opulent hotel room renovation

Marina Bay Sands in Singapore has completed a $1.75 billion, multi-year reinvestment program, fully renovating every hotel room and expanding suite capacity from 180 to 775. The project introduces upgraded amenities across the Sands and Paiza Collections, including ultra-luxury suites, advanced butler services, and distinctive in-room features such as spa concepts and a golf simulator. Planned enhancements also include a new luxury tower, entertainment arena, upgraded dining, and expanded conference facilities, with further details on these developments available in subsequent information.

As part of a multi-year $1.75 billion reinvestment program, Marina Bay Sands has completed an extensive renovation of its hotel room inventory, markedly expanding its luxury offerings and guest capacity. This thorough project included an upgrade of all existing hotel rooms and a significant expansion of suite options, increasing the total number of suites from 180 to 775.

The enhancements are grouped into two primary collections: the Sands Collection, which offers approximately 1,480 rooms and suites designed as urban sanctuaries, and the Paiza Collection, which consists of around 370 ultra-luxurious accommodations. The transformation also involved the addition of a dedicated Butler Services team, now comprising 160 members, making it one of the largest such teams globally.

The Paiza Collection stands out for its focus on exclusivity and advanced amenities, including round-the-clock butler service from a dedicated team of 160 staff. Suites in this collection offer unique features, such as the Chairman Suite’s 146-inch television, karaoke facilities, and a fully stocked kitchen, as well as the Presidential Suite’s in-room golf simulator equipped with world-renowned courses.

The Horizon Suite distinguishes itself with a spa-in-a-city concept, featuring a Himalayan salt wall and a private gym. These enhancements are designed to appeal to discerning travelers seeking a high degree of comfort and personalized service. Select guests also benefit from a dedicated Premium Services team that further elevates the hospitality experience.

The Sands Collection was fully refreshed as part of the transformation, ensuring that all accommodations meet the highest standards of modern luxury.

Ongoing and future upgrades extend beyond accommodations, with dining and entertainment options also receiving attention. The upcoming Jin Ting Wan, an authentic Cantonese restaurant, is scheduled to open in July 2025, while the LAVO Italian Restaurant & Rooftop Bar is set for refurbishment in the latter half of 2025. Additional enhancements to the lobby and a planned new spa will contribute to the overall guest experience.

Architecturally, the expansion is led by Safdie Architects, under Moshe Safdie, introducing a new luxury hotel tower and an entertainment arena, along with additional premium MICE (meetings, incentives, conferences, and exhibitions) space. These developments aim to further integrate with and complement the existing property, contributing to Singapore’s tourism sector, creating job opportunities, and supporting sustained visitor growth, as evidenced by the property’s milestone of welcoming its 500 millionth visitor.
